March 2, 2019 (UPI) Less than 12 hours after winning a $11,000 jackpot at a casino, a woman from Maryland won $100,000 on a scratch-off lottery ticket.
The 31-year-old Princess Anne resident claimed to have just visited Berlin’s Ocean Downs Casino and won a $11,000 jackpot there.
The gambler stated, “I left the casino after I won at one in the morning. “The following day, around noon, I purchased the scratch-off. I was still dressed in the same outfit. Such garments must be lucky, I suppose!”
The $30 $100,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off ticket that the woman purchased from Thirsty’s in Somerset County yielded the top prize of $100,000, which she described as a “surreal” experience.”I just bought that scratch-off because it stood out to me and pink is my favorite color,” she said.
The winner, a certified nursing assistant, said some of her money will go toward visiting her son in China, and some will go into advancing her career.
“I plan to further my education,” she said.
