A horrifying final social media post revealed the identity of the Iowa school gunman.

The student who carried out the terror attack on an Iowa high school on Thursday, which resulted in the death of one victim and the injury of five others, is currently being investigated by the authorities in Iowa for “a number of social media posts.”

It has been determined that Dylan Butler, who is 17 years old, was the individual who opened fire inside Perry High School in Iowa on Thursday, while students were returning from their December break.

The body of Butler, who had attended the school in the past, was discovered at the location. An officer from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation stated that he had shot himself in the head, which ultimately led to his death.

According to a report from the Des Moines Register, the authorities are currently looking at “a number of social media posts” that the teenager made around the time of the shooting. This is part of the inquiry into the adolescent’s motivation for the attack.

According to the allegations, Butler uploaded a final scary video on TikTok just a few moments before the shooting, with the message “Now we wait.”

Butler is seen in the video striking a posture while standing in a restroom stall at the school. He is holding a blue duffle bag at his feet.

It was accompanied with the song “Stray Bullet” by the German band KMFDM, which was also featured on the personal website of Eric Harris, one of the shooters engaged in the tragedy that occurred at Columbine High School in 1999.

Furthermore, the investigators discovered photographs on his social media sites that depicted the 17-year-old posing with knives and other weapons.

Investigators from the federal government and the state government are conducting interviews with Butler’s acquaintances and analyzing his online footprint, which includes posts on TikTok and Reddit, according to a legal official.

According to the description, the adolescent was a reserved individual who had been bullied by his former classmates for a number of years.

According to the authorities, Butler carried out the shooting on his own. He was armed with a pump-action shotgun and a handgun with a small caliber, and he was responsible for the death of one sixth grader and the injuries of five other victims.

Dan Marburger, the principal of Perry High School, was one of the five people who were injured. His alma school later revealed that he was one of the administrators being injured.

When asked about the injuries, the assistant director of the state investigative division, Mitch Mortvedt, stated that one individual was in serious condition; nevertheless, the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. There are no changes in the condition of the other victims.

Mr. Mortvedt went on to say that the authorities discovered a “pretty rudimentary” homemade explosive device inside the school, but they were able to take precautions to ensure its safety.
