After an Asian American woman was assaulted on a train in Boston, the police arrested a 16-year-old suspect

On Monday, a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody by transit police in Boston after it was discovered that a group of teenagers had been caught abusing an Asian American woman with racist remarks and attempting to prevent her from exiting a train.

On social media, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Transit Police stated that the teenager was suspected of unarmed assault to robbery as well as assault for the purpose of intimidating others.

Due to the fact that the suspect is a minor, the police have chosen not to comment any further on the incident, nor have they disclosed the suspect’s identification.

Vivian Dang, age 25, was assaulted by a gang of juveniles who have not been recognised. The arrest was made a little more than a week after the attack. They can be seen physically surrounding Dang, making fun of her accent, and using racial slurs in the footage that was taken during the incident.

“Are there any dumplings available?” It sounds like one of the teenagers is speaking with an imitation of an accent. “Is it possible to order some ramen with an egg?”

The youngsters were claimed to have continued by breaking the window of a train before running away, according to the police.

According to what Dang said in an interview with NBC News, the arrest has caused her to experience a range of emotions, but eventually, she hopes that it will lead to more fruitful dialogues regarding racism and the safety of using public transportation.

“It has a sour and sweet taste. “Since it was a child, you shouldn’t put them in any kind of predicament,” she advised. “But, once again, their actions led to this.”
