With Tyga, Avril Lavigne seems to be putting Mod Sun behind her. Lavigne was seen kissing Tyga at Paris Fashion Week two weeks after the “Complicated” singer’s rep told POPSUGAR that she and Sun had called it quits on their engagement. At the Mugler x Hunter Schafer party on Monday, the couple was spotted cuddling, seemingly confirming their rumored romance. A spokesperson for Lavigne or Tyga did not immediately respond to a request for comment from POPSUGAR.
When pictures of Lavigne and Tyga cuddling outside of Nobu in Los Angeles were published by TMZ on February 20, rumors that the two were dating first started to circulate. The next day, Lavigne’s agent confirmed that she and Sun had ended their relationship.
The couple “were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him,” Sun’s rep said to POPSUGAR shortly after. At the time, a source who was also close to the former couple told People that Tyga and Lavigne were “truly friends and nothing more” and that nothing was going on between them.
Sun appeared to be attempting to come to terms with the breakup as of late February. He posted a carousel on Instagram with the caption, “My entire life completely changed in a week. I simply know that everything has a purpose. Even when my heart feels broken, I’ll keep my head high and always listen to it.”
