In a world often dominated by stories of despair and adversity, a glimmer of hope and heroism emerged on Saturday, January 20th, when Officer Joe of the Woonsocket police department proved that compassion knows no bounds.
It all began when a small dog, running free and frightened by passing cars, sought refuge in a tunnel through which a nearby brook flowed. Little did the canine know that this tunnel would become a treacherous trap, leaving it stranded about 20-25 feet in, clinging desperately to the side. Read the full story here ▶
