On March 31, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai, India, opened its doors and welcomed a guest list of A-listers from Hollywood and Bollywood to commemorate the occasion. The NMACC inauguration was celebrated with a spectacular, three-day event that featured musical performances, a costume exhibit, and a gala supper, attended by stylish personalities like Priyanka Chopra, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and others.
Chopra attended the festivities on the first night in a sheer, sequined Elie Saab couture gown while accompanied by husband Nick Jonas. On April 1, the cultural center’s ceremonial opening, the former Bollywood actor wore a vibrant, handcrafted outfit with significant meaning. As with herself, Chopra said the upcycled, vintage style was a “amalgamation of the east and west.”Rahul Mishra, an Indian fashion designer, created sparkling handmade outfits for Zendaya and her longtime stylist Law Roach. Roach sported a sherwani jacket and matching lehenga skirt with elaborate floral decorations, while the actor dazzled in a purple, hand-embroidered sari gown teamed with a textured gold bralette. Althougah recently announcing his retirement from styling, Roach provided artistic input for both his and Zendaya’s appearances.
