For the first time in five years, Lana Del Rey will perform in London at BST Hyde Park.

This is not a rehearsal: Lana Del Rey will perform this summer at BST Hyde Park. The “Doin’ Time” singer-songwriter will end the London summer event on July 9th, according to a tweet from the official BST Hyde Park Twitter account on April 21. She joins a distinguished group of performers who will be headlining BST Hyde Park, including Pink, Bruce Springsteen, Guns n’ Roses, Billy Joel, and Take That (who will also perform at the king’s coronation performance next month). Blackpink will be making their festival debut as well.

Naturally, after Del Rey’s announcement—her first London performance in five years—fans went crazy online. One supporter wrote, “I’m gonna collapse,” while another added, “I’m getting ready to pass out.”You really gave me Blackpink tickets and then Lana Del Rey tickets too OMG.” Del Rey’s most recent appearance in the city was a one-off gig at Brixton Academy in 2017. Fans will undoubtedly recall the 37-year-old’s headline performance at the Suffolk festival Latitude in 2019, when she ended the event with hits like “Blue Jeans,” “Pretty When You Cry,” and “Video Games.” Even though the rest of the roster for her day hasn’t been revealed, there’s no denying it will be a memorable one.

On April 27, at 10 a.m. on the official BST Hyde Park website, general sales of tickets for her performance begin. On April 21 at 10am, an American Express cardholder presale will begin, but you’d better be quick if you want a chance at experiencing the ultimate sad girl performance in the flesh.

Recently, the performer has collaborated with global icon Taylor Swift on one of her “Midnights” tracks, “Snow On The Beach”, whilst she’s also celebrating a reported engagement to boyfriend Evan Winiker. 2023 is certainly shaping up to be a year to remember for the star.
