Former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy does not wish to reflect on his tenure with the Cowboys

Mike McCarthy, the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, claims he has no additional motivation to win on Sunday against the organization that dismissed him.

Prior to joining Dallas, McCarthy spent thirteen years as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.

In 2022, he made his debut against his former team, the Cowboys, in a game that they ultimately lost 31-28 in overtime.

McCarthy expresses remorse for his strategy preceding the matchup with the Packers.

The coach states that the Cowboys are his sole focus at this time.

“At the beginning of the week last year, I felt it was essential to discuss Green Bay, specifically.” It was something I did with the team, and I later came to regret it. “I do not believe that is necessary for our energy base,” McCarthy stated on Monday. “If it doesn’t help us win the game, then I’m not interested.”
