The accusations stem from allegations that the clerk forged a hearing notice that was used to evict a woman from Mesquite.
In the month of August 2022, Lutishia Williams, who is 53 years old, is accused of falsifying a hearing notice. An eviction was carried out against Chantel Hardaway, a mother from Mesquite who claimed in a lawsuit that she had never received the hearing notice. The notice was used as the foundation for the eviction.
With a date of June 14 and Williams’ signature, the hearing notification that is being accused of being forged is a document that was prepared in Microsoft Word.
The Chief Clerk for Justice Margaret O’Brien, who has previously denied any impropriety by anyone in her court, is Williams. Williams is the Chief Clerk for Justice Margaret O’Brien. In response to demands for comment, Williams and O’Brien did not provide a response.
