Iranian Revolutionary Guard personnel reportedly traveled to the occupied regions of Kherson and Crimea to instruct Russian forces on how to use Shahed-136 “kamikaze” drones, according to the Ukrainian Center for National Resistance.
A branch of the Iranian armed forces, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is made up of elite paramilitary units.
According to reports, the communities of Zalizniy Port, Hladivtsi (Kherson region), and Dzhankoy are home to the Iranian instructors (Crimea).
According to reports, IRGC employees in Kherson and the Crimea directly supervise Russia’s use of drones.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 83 Russian missiles and “kamikaze” drones were fired at targets in civilian infrastructure on Monday, killing civilians.The Ukrainian military posted on Facebook about the attack on Monday, saying that “the enemy used Iranian Shahed-136 UAVs in strikes launched from the territory of Belarus” and the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia, and adding that nine drones were destroyed.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported on Friday that eight more Shahed-136 drones had been destroyed.
Eight Shahed-136 loitering munitions were destroyed on October 14, 2022, in the southern and eastern directions, according to a Telegram post. Three of them were shot down by anti-aircraft defense units of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and five of them were shot down by air defense missile units of the Air Force.
