It is planned that Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will celebrate its 50th anniversary in January 2024 by holding a celebration that will last for an entire year. This celebration will include a variety of unique events, activities, and hidden surprises.
The celebration will begin on the day that DFW celebrates its anniversary, which is January 13th, with giveaways and unique experiences for travelers who are located in the terminals. In addition, there will be entertaining campaigns to be held in both Dallas and Fort Worth. (In the middle of the 1960s, the two cities reluctantly agreed to collaborate on the construction of a brand-new, contemporary regional airport that would be located in the middle of two different communities that were proudly growing.)
Over the course of the year, additional events will be introduced. However, in order to get you ready for any DFW trivia quizzes that could come your way, we have compiled a few interesting facts for you to learn. Some information is from DFW officials, and some is from Bruce Bleakley, the former director of the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas and author of multiple books on North Texas aviation, including Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (Arcadia).
