Ja Morant is reinstated for the Grizzlies but only had one significant catch

On Wednesday night against the Rockets, Ja Morant will make his long-awaited comeback from suspension, but there is a huge catch regarding his position with the Grizzlies.

The Memphis Grizzlies haven’t had standout guard Ja Morant on the court since a crucial March 3 loss to the Nuggets in Denver. He was then suspended by the NBA for behavior harmful to the league after an Instagram Live video showed him brandishing a weapon in a Colorado nightclub.

He is expected to make his eagerly anticipated comeback on Wednesday. Morant was able to play again on Monday night, but the Grizzlies decided against it. But now he has rejoined the group.

Ja Morant will come off Grizzlies bench in return from suspension
Prior to his suspension, Morant was performing at an All-NBA level this season, averaging 27.1 points, 8.2 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Grizzlies.

With his return looming, Morant addressed his suspension and the counseling that he received after the incident in Denver, per NBA.com.

“I’m completely sorry for that,” Morant said. “So, you know, my job now is, like I said, to be more responsible, more smarter, and don’t cause any of that no more.”
