Jeremy Renner came perilously close to death on New Year’s Day of last year. He has been leaning into life ever since

A year has passed since Jeremy Renner nearly perished in a bizarre accident on New Year’s Day; since then, the Marvel star has established himself as a formidable adversary in the real world.

The “Avengers” actor was pulverized near his Nevada residence on New Year’s Day 2023 while attempting to prevent his snow-removal tractor from sliding and colliding with his adult nephew.

Several of Renner’s bones were fractured in the accident, including fourteen fractures in eight ribs, an eye socket, and a knee, in addition to a ruptured lung and a rib bone piercing of his liver.

Renner came perilously close to death when the snowplow came within millimeters of striking a vital organ or main nerve, according to his physician at the time.

Following that distressing period, Renner seems to have been optimizing his second opportunity.

He recently verified the release of a forthcoming album. He expressed interest in a potential album cover for “Wait” on Instagram earlier this month, tagging the image with the caption “New musical diary — story of life, death, recovery, and all things learned along the way.”

In October, when he announced the endeavor, he wrote on Instagram, “Creating this has been excruciating, profoundly therapeutic, and ultimately cathartic for me.” “I sincerely hope that I will eventually muster the courage to share this with you all.”

The album is anticipated to be released on January 1, which coincides with one year since the tragic accident that nearly claimed his life.

The “Hawkeye” star has recently celebrated his recovery in yet another manner, which he has delightedly shared with his millions of followers.

He uploaded an exercise video in November accompanied by the caption, “Today is the tenth month of my recovery.”

The actor was depicted in the footage hopping down a hill and running back up, which represents significant progress from earlier in the year, when he had to relearn to walk.

Renner stated in a November post that he has “been investigating EVERY conceivable form of therapy since January 14th… “Continuous physical therapy spanning numerous hours, peptide injections, intravenous drips and pushes, stem cell and exosomes administration, red light/infrared therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunge, and more….”

“BUT my most effective therapy has been my own thoughts and determination to remain present and strive for improvement…. Exhibit exceptional qualities… “I consider it upon myself to do so,” he composed. “It is not to waste the life that has been spared me; rather, it is to repay my family, friends, and all of you who have inspired me to persevere. “Everyone, thank you very much.”

It is not to say that Renner had ceased working entirely.

This year, Renner not only promoted his Sweet Grass Vodka but also his Disney+ series “Rennervations,” which was produced prior to his accident.

Additionally, his co-star Emma Laird from “Mayor of Kingstown” suggested on Friday that he might return to that series.

She shared a photo of the two of them with the caption “It’s happening.” on her Instagram stories. “I will be back with my favorite guy the following week.”

The network producing “Kingstown,” Paramount+, has been contacted by CNN for comment.

Renner is also scheduled to be present in New York City on New Year’s Eve for CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen,” where he will assist in the observance of the new year.

Given the magnitude of these undertakings and the remarkable advancements he has achieved over the past year, it is certain that the musician and actor will spend New Year’s Day 2024 genuinely appreciative of his progress.
