Greenip has been working in this field for the past four decades before joining CREF. He worked for the Turner Construction corporation for 37 years, during which time he was promoted to the position of Vice President and General Manager of the San Diego Business Unit for the corporation. Before that, Greenip was in charge of the operations of Turner’s Boston Business Unit for more than 25 years. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Walsh Brothers, where he was accountable for working in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer to design and implement the vision and strategy direction of the company. In this role, he was in charge of developing and implementing the strategic direction of the firm. Throughout the course of his career, he has launched, directed, and managed complex design-build projects in a variety of commercial, institutional, public, and private sectors. In addition, he has overseen the management of more than $1 billion in yearly revenues.

Greenip attended Northeastern University and earned a degree in Civil Engineering there. He is also involved in the local community. In the past, he has held positions on the boards of UC San Diego Athletics and La Jolla Country Day School, in addition to serving on the executive board of the San Diego Downtown Partnership.
