Keith Lee is a Dallas culinary critic who is “rating them 1-10”

With more than 15 million followers on social media, food critic Keith Lee is well-known in the Dallas food industry and his restaurant ratings have the Metroplex in a frenzy.

Over the weekend, Keith Lee shared his initial restaurant reviews online, with his well-known tagline, “he got ’em, he tried ’em, and rated them 1-10.”

His initial stops were Terry Black’s Barbecue and Thunderbird Pies, both in East Dallas. Halal Fusionz, a Farmers Branch ghost kitchen concept, was his third stop.

To begin with, Thunderbird Pies
He sampled three of the pizzas and a few sides at Thunderbird Pies, a Detroit-style pizza restaurant owned by the same people who own Cane Rosso and Zoli’s, in his film. Lee expressed his need for additional sauce on the pizzas, finding the red sauce to be rather dominant in terms of onions.

He praised Thunderbird Pies, saying, “Overall, with a few minor adjustments, I could see this place being good.”

The chief marketing officer of the restaurant chain that owns Thunderbird Pies, Jeff Amador, told our colleagues at The Dallas Morning News that he was completely taken aback by the video evaluation. Since Lee often prefers smaller, family-run establishments and they had nearly a dozen eateries in their portfolio, he didn’t think Lee would go to any of them.
