When the sunnier, warmer months roll around, there are many things to anticipate, and since this is Who What Wear, you know that new fashion options are one of them. Nothing compares to the sensation of dressing based on want rather than need. I, for one, am eager to do away with the bulky layers I need to survive the winter and instead go around without even a coat or sweater. When that time arrives, what do I grasp for first? a gown. Since it seems like a lifetime has passed since I purchased a new dress, I was eager to discover what delights the market had to offer now that the new collections are starting to be released.
I didn’t anticipate, though, falling in love with so many of them. I predict that dresses will fall into one of two groups for 2023. The first is opulent clothing painted in beautiful pastel colors and embellished with bows, crystals, and roses. Who else? There’s a new league of throw-on dresses that have been created with the sole objective of making you seem as put-together as possible with the least amount of effort imaginable, with a focus on wearability and versatility. Both would be wonderful additions to my wardrobe.
