They were married and living together at their home on Birchwood Drive in the town, per a statement from Cumberland Police Chief Matthew J. Benson. Police were sent to 28 Birchwood Drive around 6:40 a.m. Wednesday to respond to the report of the two adults who had been shot.
It’s unclear who called the report in to the police. The statement said how the Huards were pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the deaths of the couple were an isolated incident, police detailed. “This was not a random act of violence,” Benson noted in the statement. Read the full story here ▶
