This Christmas, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are spending time with their respective families.
The actress and basketball player shared photographs from their Christmas celebrations with their family, which included Wade and Siovaughn Funches’ 16-year-old daughter Zaya and the couple’s 5-year-old daughter Kaavia James.
Additionally, Wade is the father of two sons: Xavier, 10, and Zaire, 21, both of whom he shares with Funches. Wade is also married to Aja Metoyer.
The couple is depicted in a carousel of photographs shared by Union, posing with their two daughters Wade, Kaavia, and Union, who are all attired in identical Christmas pajamas. Additionally, a video of Kaavia singing in front of a Christmas tree was shared by the actress.

The basketball legend emphasized in November the importance of ensuring his daughter Zaya Wade feels “safe” when confiding in him, noting that “most people are more open with their best friends — people you choose rather than what you’ve been given.”
His daughter, Zaya, came out as transgender in 2020. “I don’t want to be one of those people who’s just been given to her and she doesn’t feel open and confident in me,” he said. “My intention is to exemplify unconditional love so that she may seek solace in my company as she navigates life.”
“I believe it’s reflected in Zaya,” he continued regarding his unconditional affection. “The world sees it in Zaya due to the fact that she is an active member of the trans community.”
The couple hosted a “Wade Thanksgiving” celebration this autumn with their daughters Kaavia and Zaya, along with other relatives and friends, as evidenced by Instagram photos.
“Grateful for the ones we hold dear 💎,” Union, 51, scribed beneath the carousel image.
“My favorite day of the year,” Wade, 41, further stated in the section designated for remarks.
Kaavia, resplendent in a red lipstick and green dress, recited a Thanksgiving prayer in front of the guests while standing in between her parents, as captured in a video from the event.

Union was observed dancing outdoors with relatives in a second recording while a band was heard playing the instrumental to Beyoncé’s “Cuff It.”
