Sunday’s vital Bank of America Roval 400 will be started from the pole position by Tyler Reddick. This places Reddick in an excellent position to advance in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, as the field will be reduced from 12 to 8 after Sunday’s race, and Reddick is currently nine points behind the cut line.
Reddick will start alongside playoff driver Christopher Bell, but Bell is 22 points ahead of Reddick in fourth place. Kyle Larson is in danger, as he will start the race from the 36th position due to a practice accident that precluded him from setting a qualifying time. Larson is presently seventh in the standings and 15 points above the elimination cri ing line.
