New sad Cowboys fan meme sums up no-good, awful night vs. 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys desired vengeance against the San Francisco 49ers, the team that ended their Super Bowl hopes and aspirations the previous two seasons.

While the Cowboys entered Week 4 with a 3-1 record, the 49ers were 4-0 and had arguably the most comprehensive roster in the NFL. This was an opportunity for Dallas to demonstrate that they are a legitimate contender for the Super Bowl this season.

Then, kickoff took place. The Cowboys’ offense was ineffective against the 49ers’ formidable defense. Not to mention that San Francisco’s offense dismantled Dan Quinn’s Dallas defense with relative ease. Overall, it was a terrible evening for the Cows.

Look at this fan who was at the game at Levi’s Stadium when the 49ers were up 34-10 and you’ll get a sense of how Cowboys fans feel in general.

Cowboys supporter who watches team’s defeat to the 49ers become a meme.

The game is proceeding so poorly that this spectator must discuss it with someone.

Prime-time Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had a game he would rather forget. Although Prescott threw a gorgeous touchdown pass to wide receiver KaVontae Turpin, that was essentially the only positive aspect of the game. Not one, not two, but three interceptions were thrown by Prescott. Two of these interceptions led to 14 points for the 49ers: a touchdown reception of one yard by Kyle Juszczyk and a touchdown run of 26 yards by Jordan Mason.

Prescott was removed from the game in the fourth quarter after completing 14 of 24 pass attempts for 153 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

In contrast, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was exceptional. The second-year quarterback completed 17-of-24 pass attempts for 252 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions before being taken out of the game with over 10 minutes remaining, in part because Dallas was out of contention.

George Kittle, a tight end for San Francisco, also had a tremendous game, catching three passes from Purdy for 67 yards and three touchdowns.
