Pick the OVER on Petr Mrazek’s saves in the NHL prop bets

On Wednesday, I lost all of my NHL prop bets, which was sad. The hook missed both props. Ilya Samsanov missed a chance to go Above 27.5 saves, and Evgeny Kuznetsov missed a chance to go over his shot total by one.

We pick ourselves up today and start over with the planning.

Let’s get started with my two top NHL player props for the slate on Thursday night.

Mike Matheson is averaging 2.35 shots on goal per game this season, but now he and the Canadiens have a tough matchup ahead of them tonight.

The Kings have been playing strong in their own end as of late, allowing just 25.79 shots on goals per 60 minuets over their last 10 games, the third best mark in the NHL over that stretch. The Habs are also on the road tonight, so I don’t expect an offensive explosion from them.

I’ll take Matheson to go under his shot total.

The Blackhawks are in for a tough matchup tonight when they take on the Dallas Stars, who are averaging 33.99 shots on goal per 60 minutes over their last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are allowing teams to record an average of 34.17 shots on goal per 60 minutes over the same stretch.

Mrazek is averaging 29.46 saves per game this season, so as long as he has one more save compared to his season average, this bet will be a winner.
