According to the police, the gunshot occurred around 6:30 p.m.
Justin Allen, age 28, was discovered with a gunshot wound on Lemmon Avenue in Uptown Dallas, close to US-75, by responding officers.
Allen died at the hospital after being transported there.
Later, according to investigators, it was determined that Allen was shot approximately two miles distant on Prather Street in Downtown Dallas.
The police did not specify how they believed Allen traveled from Downtown Dallas to Lemmon Avenue.
