The Hague protestors gathered in the first row of a theater and held up a sign that read, “President of violence and hypocrisy” while yelling, “You have millions of protesters in the streets.”
Following their removal by security personnel, Macron claimed that those aiming to overturn laws approved by elected governments are “endangering democracy,” citing the riots that occurred in the US Capitol in 2021 and an attack on Brazil’s Congress in 2023.
