Retirement Roller Revelry: Texas Doctor Takes to the ER Corridors on Skates to Jam and Celebrate 40 Years in Medicine!

In order to commemorate his retirement, a physician from Texas went roller skating through the corridors of the emergency division.

Dr. Phil Masterson, who had worked in the medical field for forty years, arrived at his retirement wearing a “retired” sash that was presented to him by his staff at a free-standing emergency room located outside of Dallas. No one at his place of employment was aware that he had been skating ever since he was a teenager in Detroit.

“I’ve always had a thought saying, ‘You know, when I retire, I want to do something crazy,'” Phil Masterson said. “I want to do something crazy.” “It was beyond their comprehension.”

In the midst of his colleagues laughing, the physician smoothly skated around while jamming out to songs such as “Hit the Road Jack.” The video was uploaded to TikTok by his daughter, Nichole Masterson, and it has now received more than 1.7 million views.

She mentioned, “It brought me joy to see him in a happy state.”

There were some viewers who were concerned that Phil Masterson’s roller skating activities would cause him to end up in the hospital himself. Masterson is turning 70 years old.

One of the comments on TikTok stated, “Lord, I was scared that he was going to end up in one of those beds behind him.”

On the other hand, the doctor learnt how to skate during a time period similar to the one depicted in the film “Roll Bounce,” which was released in 2005 and takes place in Chicago during the late 1970s.

A photograph of Phil Masterson, who was in his 20s at the time, shows him crouching with his arms folded while kicking. Masterson claims that his “big move” as a young man was referred to as the Russian Roulette. But he claims that he is no longer able to accomplish it.

In response, he stated, “My knees are no longer able to allow me to do that.”

He is presently making preparations to relocate to Spain with his wife for a period of one year.
