Simple ways to provide the nourishment your finicky eater needs

Given their busy schedules, high level of activity, and intense curiosity, toddlers can be difficult to get to sit still for meals. It makes sense that toddlers can become finicky eaters at this age because growth tends to slow down a bit during this time, and they may also be slightly less hungry.

First of all, if your child is choosy, don’t worry. It’s typical at this age, and the majority of toddlers outgrow it. If fussy children don’t branch out beyond “kid foods,” they may become picky grownups.
Smoothies are one of my favorite ways to get kids to eat a lot of nutrient-dense foods! In order to increase nutrition without compromising flavor, you can simply add vegetables and superfoods to a decent recipe. Baby spinach is like a “secret salad” because it gives people the benefits of salad greens without them even realizing they are eating them!

Vegetables may give gorgeous color and vitamins and minerals, making food more enticing to children. Try a smoothie that is high in nutrients and fiber. Smoothies are also transportable, so a busy toddler (and mom) may take them with them.

Mealtime can become a power struggle when there is a picky eater present, which not only makes dining unpleasant but also encourages fussy eating behaviors. For amusement, abandon the power struggles and observe what transpires instead!

Shape-cutting fruits and vegetables, tableside carrot-crunching competitions, using miniature kid-sized utensils, and using vibrant bowls are all fun ways to serve meals. Make dining enjoyable for your toddler as much as you can, whether that means making jokes or singing songs at the table. Having fun while eating and snacking promotes better attitudes and connections with food.
