Police say that on Saturday night, a motorist in Dallas rear-ended another motorist, killing the victim and sending his dismembered body to a Jack in the Box in Tarrant County.
A 31-year-old guy named Nestor Joel Lujan Flores is currently in police arrest following the discovery of a deceased body in his vehicle. He is facing a pending allegation of intoxication manslaughter. On Saturday night at 11:13 p.m., the department received a tip about a gray Kia Forte 4-door passenger automobile that was extensively damaged at the front end, hood, and windshield. The car was found in the Jack in the Box parking lot in the 8700 block of Interstate 30 service road. According to the person making the call, the driver was also slouched over the wheel.
No indications of life were detected in the front passenger seat when the officer arrived, according to a statement from the White Settlement Police Department. Upon seeing the driver exit the vehicle, the officer promptly placed him under arrest pending additional investigation. Upon arrival, emergency medical services and the fire department confirmed that the passenger had passed away.
However, there were other peculiar discoveries at the site as well. According to the police statement, the motorist further explained to the authorities that he thought he had hit an animal in Dallas before proceeding to this parking lot. This incident went unreported by the driver to the authorities. The motorist apparently believed he had collided with a deer, according to NBC 5.
The Dallas Morning News was able to acquire images that showed the victim apparently landing in the passenger seat after falling through the glass. The windshield had a huge hole that covered almost the whole area. Some of the authorities’ initial suspicions started to be confirmed the following morning.
A crash was reported on the westbound service road of Interstate Highway 30 at Cockrell Hill Road at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, according to the White Settlement statement, which was cited by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. “As per the investigators from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, there were human remains found close to the roadside, which could potentially correspond to the deceased person’s remains that were found within the vehicle in the restaurant parking lot,”
Chief Christopher Cook of the White Settlement Police Department told NBC 5 that the suspect “smelled like a brewery, according to the officer,” even though the results of the blood tests have not been returned yet. Flores was found guilty of drunk driving in 2021 after his arrest in 2020 in Collin County.
As of early Tuesday afternoon, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner had not identified the victim, who according to the police had a state identification card of a 45-year-old.
