The Clippers have now won nine games in a row after defeating the Mavericks in Dallas

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 120-111. Kawhi Leonard scored 30 points, and the Clippers were able to maintain their advantage after leading by 22 points. This victory extended the Clippers’ win streak to nine games.

James Harden had 17 points and 11 assists, and Norman Powell had 21 points off the bench. Paul George was unable to play due to an illness, and James Harden had 17 points total. Since a 10-game winning streak in 2015–2016, the Clippers are now on their longest winning streak ever.

Luka Doncic, a standout player for the Dallas Mavericks, finally broke his team record of 11 consecutive games with at least 30 points. He scored 28 points in a sixth consecutive game without Kyrie Irving, an All-standout guard who is suffering from a damaged right heel.

Doncic achieved his sixth triple-double by grabbing ten rebounds and ten assists as he finished the game.
Leonard, who also had ten rebounds, hit a layup and assisted on a three-point play by Powell late in the fourth quarter, when the Clippers were leading by one. Powell was the one who made the three-point play.

As part of a 9-0 run that brought the score to 120-110 with 52 seconds left, the five-time All-Star then had a slam and a layup on either side of two missed free throws by Doncic. This brought the score to 120-110.

With George out of action for the past four games, Powell tied his season best in scoring, and Amir Coffey scored 12 points in his second start of the season. Both of these accomplishments came in the absence of George.

Tim Hardaway Jr. led Dallas with 21 points, and Derrick Jones Jr. contributed 19 points to the team’s total.

Aside from Irving, Dallas is also without rookie center Dereck Lively II due to a sprained ankle and guard Josh Green due to a sprained elbow. Both of these injuries have prevented them from playing.

After the Mavericks were trailing by 22 points in the middle of the second quarter, Dallas’ comeback began with an unexpected event in the final minute of the first half. This occurred after the Mavericks had been trailing by 22 points.

During the same possession, Hardaway missed three shots, bringing his overall percentage to one out of ten. However, he finally got a fourth chance and made a three-pointer. When it came to offensive rebounds, Grant Williams grabbed two of them alone.

In the thirty seconds that followed, Hardaway made a three-point shot from 29 feet away, which brought the Mavericks to within eleven points of the score at 67-56. This was the closest they had been since the beginning of the second quarter earlier.
