After Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is now the third Indian leader to have over 70 lakh followers on the social networking site Instagram. He follows in the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
“Yogi Adityanath is recognised for being one of the chief ministers who is the most active on social media. He makes use of these online platforms in order to share his speeches, images, and videos with the people who follow him. He signed up for Instagram in March of 2015, and since then, he’s produced more than 3,200 posts,” a representative for the ministry said.
“His popularity on social media can be ascribed to the changes he has implemented in a variety of fields, his policy to ensure a robust system of law and order, and his comprehensive development plans for the state. His posts are highly appreciated by his fans, and he does not even come close to being challenged by any opposition leader on Instagram,” he continued.
“The posts made by the CM include his speeches that he gave at a variety of events, Kanya Pujan, encounters with notable people, and his greetings on significant occasions. The number of people who have liked and shared these posts has reached lakhs, according to the spokesperson.
He said that in addition to Instagram, the CM was active on the platforms ‘X’ (2.6 million followers), ‘Koo’ (68 thousand), and ‘WhatsApp’ (three thousand).
According to what he said, “The Chief Minister’s (CM) presence on social media is a powerful tool that he uses to communicate with his supporters, promote his policies, and build his brand.”
