The SAG Awards were held on Sunday, February 26 in Los Angeles, but people are still raving about Aubrey Plaza’s daring attire selection. The actress was dressed by stylist Jessica Paster in a gold Michael Kors sequin gown with crisscross straps over her breast and a floor-grazing bottom with a thigh-high front split. She wore gold-heeled sandals underneath, and she accessorized with Mouawad jewelry.
Fans have criticized the dress for, of all things, Plaza’s underboob, suggesting that it was either poorly fitted or a wardrobe malfunction. Paster defended her decision to style herself, writing in a comment on some posts, “went 7 fittings…for real…I wanted underboob.
With celebrities like Sydney Sweeney, Megan Fox, Kylie Jenner, and others frequently rocking the revealing look, the underboob-revealing trend is becoming more and more popular. So, it seems strange that Plaza and her stylist are facing such backlash over their decision.
Reports that Plaza was “annoyed” and “pissed off” while on stage at the event, apparently after a fellow celebrity told her that she was about to experience an unwelcome wardrobe malfunction, only serve to feed the comments. Paster has offered his opinion on the attire, but Plaza has not yet added anything. In autumn, Plaza wore a similar look with a totally backless halterneck gown featuring a high front slit. And, at the beginning of the month, she chose another torso-baring look with a cropped bustier and side-slit skirt for the Directors Guild of America Awards.
