4th Ward: State Representative Lamont Robinson defeated Prentice Butler with more than 60% of the vote on election day. JB Pritzker, the governor, and Toni Preckwinkle, the head of the Cook County Board, support Robinson.
Desmon Yancy, a community activist, has been chosen by the Hyde Park/South Shore ward to succeed departing Ald. Leslie Hairston in the 5th Ward. Tina Hone, a member of the Lightfoot administration, lost to Yancy.
6th Ward: Chatham/Auburn Gresham voters chose William Hall over Richard Wooten in the contest between two South Side pastors.
Peter Chico, a police officer, won the 10th Ward with more than 65% of the vote on election day. He defeated Ana Guajardo, a labor activist.
As the first Asian American ward in Chicago history, incumbent Nicole Lee defeated police officer Anthony Ciaravino in the 11th Ward race. Last year, Lee was selected by Mayor Lori Lightfoot with the support of the 11th Ward Democrats and former Mayor Richard M. Daley.
In a close battle, Ronnie Mosley defeated Cornell Dantzler to succeed outgoing Ald. Howard Brookins Jr. in the 21st Ward.
Monique Scott, the incumbent, received almost 65% of the vote in the 24th Ward.
To defeat barber and community activist Creative Scott on election night. Lightfoot appointed Ald. Scott to take the place of her brother, who resigned to join the Board of Education.
Chris Taliaferro, the incumbent in the 29th Ward, narrowly missed a victory in February by 25 votes.
