TxDOT personnel are prepared to treat roads in North Texas for wintry conditions.

Crews have spent the entire week treating roads in an effort to increase driver safety.

As the winter season approaches, they are prepared to address any problem areas, they stated.

“We’re full-time RVers and we had a spot that we were staying in until the end of the month and then heading back to Arizona in February,” indicated Doug Poag.

After the chill had set in, Poag reconsidered his position.

“When I awoke on [Sunday] morning, my water lines were frozen, despite the fact that I had wrapped everything. My internal water pump has stalled, so we are essentially without water. He stated, “I said that was it; let’s pack and depart early to return to Arizona.”

A few days are anticipated for the deep chill to affect North Texas.

“I know we have a lot of swing in our temperatures, so it’s been very unpredictable and radical,” Poag commented.

Marcus Pugh is returning to Oklahoma City, where snow is currently falling.

“However, it was sixty degrees when we arrived.” “As soon as we departed, the temperature dropped and snow flurries began to fall,” she explained.

TxDOT personnel from the Dallas and Fort Worth districts are putting in 12-hour shifts until the temperature returns to above zero.
