A veteran named David returns from deployment in Afghanistan with a terrible injury, only to have his wife demand a divorce. Sarah, David’s wife, sits by his bedside in the hospital, her demeanor cold and resolved.
She tells David she can’t be his wife anymore and leaves him alone. A few days later, Sarah returns to take his things and informs him that he will be discharged from the hospital and sent to live with his mother across the country. David is devastated, as he and Sarah had once shared dreams of a future together.
