Within the Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport, Duty Free Americas has opened three specialty stores

In addition, the shop has opened its first sunglasses branch in the United States, which is called Shade, as well as the first LEGO store in Dallas-Fort Worth.

As a result of the openings, Duty Free Americas currently operates seven outlets at the airport, which is responsible for the transportation of over 33 million people annually.

This month marks the 50th anniversary of DFW Airport, which coincides with the launch of three new locations.

On January 17, 2024, Denise Erickson, Vice President of the Airport Division for Duty Free Americas, along with Ken Buchanan, Executive Vice President of Customer Experience and Revenue Management, Zenola Campbell, Vice President of Concessions, and Pamela Housley, Concessions Manager from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, cut the ribbon to officially open all three stores.

During the celebration of the opening of their respective brand stores, they were joined by Iremis Lorenzo, who is the Associate Key Account Manager for LEGO AMS Travel Retail, and Mary Cacciacarne, who is the Head of Global Merchandising for Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us at WHP Global. In addition to Ronnie Harris, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of RS Harris LLC.

Joseph Falic, Vice President of Duty Free Americas, gave the following statement: “We are thrilled to officially open the doors to these three new specialty stores at DFW Airport. Each of these stores offers its own unique shopping experience.”

“These launches are especially thrilling because they come at a time when our colleagues at DFW Airport are celebrating fifty years of excellence in American aviation. This is a momentous occasion in the history of the airport. I’d like to extend my congratulations to the team on reaching a half-century milestone of success.

According to the airport, “We are delighted to be a long-term partner of the airport, and we share a commitment to delivering the best possible experience to our customers who are traveling.” In addition, I would like to express my gratitude to our friends at Toys “R” Us, Shade, and The LEGO Group for their relationship, which enables Duty Free Americas to play a crucial role in the expansion strategy that they have implemented throughout the area.

Ken Buchanan, Executive Vice President for Revenue Management and Customer Experience at DFW Airport, stated that “Toys-R-Us” is a storied brand, and that DFW Airport is delighted to be the first airport to have the company’s reinvented store. The addition of Toys “R” Us, LEGO, and Shade will add to our expanding portfolio of excellent experiences, which is one of our primary goals. We want to make sure that our clients have a pleasant experience while they are at DFW Airport.
